In loving memory of

Colby Sandbulte
September 16, 2003 - July 21, 2017

A service to celebrate Colby's life will take place at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at The Shores on Five Island Lake in Emmetsburg. Interment is in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday at the Joyce Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Colby's name.

Colby Sandbulte, son of David and Kasey (Weisbrod) Sandbulte, was born September 16, 2003 at the Spencer Municipal Hospital in Spencer, Iowa. He attended Emmetsburg Community Schools and would have been in the 8th grade this fall.

Colby was an avid sports fan and player. He enjoyed playing basketball, baseball and football and running track. He loved bonfires with friends, snapchatting with friends and hanging out with friends whenever possible. Colby's smile was bright; his sense of humor never went unnoticed. He was an animal lover and a caring young kid who departed this world all too soon.

On Friday, July 21, 2017, Colby was hit and killed while riding his bicycle in Emmetsburg.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents: David and Kasey and his best friend and twin brother, Hunter all of Emmetsburg; maternal grandfather, Ronnie Weisbrod of Armstrong; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; and his three cats: Diesel, Curry and LeBron.

Colby was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Mike Sandbulte; maternal grandmother, Sandy Weisbrod; and his uncle, Jeff Sandbulte.
