In loving memory of

Kenneth H. Bofinger
November 12, 1930 - July 30, 2017

Kenneth (Ken) Bofinger left us on July 30, 2017 at the age of 86. He is survived by Susan, his wife of 60 years, and his children Mark (Shannon Walsh), Christopher (Mechael Foster) and Jennifer (Matthew Tucker); as well as grandchildren Rhyan, Cameron, Beatrice and Alyssa. He is predeceased by his son Jeffrey Alan.

The youngest of three boys, Ken was born November 12, 1930 in the Bridesburg section of Philadelphia. At the age of five his father passed away and Ken entered Girard College (then a school for "fatherless boys.") While at Girard, Ken excelled at soccer, singing and learned a trade: printing. After finishing high school he was hired by the advertising agency Arndt, Preston, Chapin Lamb & Keen in their production department where he ultimately met Susan, the love of his life and settled in Oreland. He also worked for other high-profile Philadelphia advertising and printing agencies before finally retiring as a vice president at Earle Palmer Brown. Not wanting to stop working he came out of retirement twice to work.

Ken was an active member at church, a successful Little League coach for many years and above all a perfect gentleman. He loved pineapple upside cake, 500 piece puzzles, dogs of all sizes, a good Sunday pot roast, parties with neighbors and vacations with family. He had an easy smile for friends, a fast walk to wherever he was going and a strong work ethic that followed him throughout his career.

While there is a void left in all our lives it is not a vacuum. There was no better person to shepherd us through the trials and tribulations of becoming the people we are today.

Services will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church, 708 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, PA 19002 on August 12, 2017 at 11 a.m. Visitation at 10 a.m. Lunch following service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Trinity Episcopal Church.

"Ken was my mentor at Lewis, Gilman & Kynett. He was the best boss every! He encouraged, motivate and pushed me to do my best work. I remember our sessions on how many 8x10 flyers you can print on a 40x36 sheet. He loved printing and today I still follow in his foot steps. I'll never forget the time he asked me to come sing at Trinity. It was wonderful. Ken talked about Susan and his sons often, but what I liked about him most was the application of his faith. If you ever wanted to see a Christian life....it was Ken Bofinger. I'm so glad he was able to touch my life. Sharing a memory of Ken Bofinger.... Carolyn Bolger Payne"
