Jerry Bland
December 1, 1947 - August 1, 2017

Jerry Lee Bland, 69, Muncie, passed away Tuesday morning, August 1, 2017, at his residence.
He was born December 1, 1947, in Linton, Indiana, the son of Lebert and Flora Mae (Reed) Bland. Jerry attended Eaton Schools. He worked at his family drywall business for 40 plus years, Jerry loved his job, and took much pride in his work, and the people surrounded in it. He enjoyed people appreciating the final product of the drywall finishing. Jerry enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and photography. He loved his pets; he also loved spending time with his wonderful nieces and nephews. Jerry also loved watching all sports.
Survivors include his brothers, Dave (wife Kelly) Bland, Don (wife Cita) Bland, Joe Bland, John Bland, Terry (wife Denise) Bland, and Tim Bland; sisters Mona (husband Larry) Bell, Margaret Isenberg, Mary (Husband Joe) Thomas, and Dorri Paskiewicz; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Carol S. Yingst, and Phyllis A. Bland.
Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 W. Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304 with Chaplin Matthew Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Eaton, Indiana.
Family and friends may call at Elm Ridge Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Thursday.
