On Saturday July 29, 2017, Georgia Micklas of Lighthouse Point, Florida, passed away under the care of VITAS Hospice with her family by her side, she was 88.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, she is the wife of the late James Micklas. She is survived by her loving children, Mary Oxios (Ken) and Robert "Bob" Micklas. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Noelle, Gregory, Laura and Melissa and five great grandchildren, Charlie, Daniel, Sophia, Owen and Griffin.
Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday August 1 and Wednesday August 2, 2017 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 4650 N. Federal Highway, Lighthouse Point, FL 33064. Trisagion Prayers Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday August 3rd at 10:00 a.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 815 N.E. 15th St. Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304. Interment will follow at the Deerfield Beach Memorial Cemetery.
