Patricia Manfro Davenport
October 29, 1929 - July 30, 2017

Patricia (Manfro) Davenport, 87, of Lomontville, NY, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Sunday, July 30, 2017. She was born on October 29, 1929 in Kingston, to the late Patrick and Dora (Elting) Manfro. Pat graduated from Kingston High School and went on to receive her Bachelor of Science degree from SUNY Plattsburgh. She was a Home Economics teacher in both Glens Falls and Ellenville, New York prior to starting her family.

Pat was married to Robert O. Davenport on June 27, 1953. They shared a life together on Davenport Farms, where Pat continued to foster her love and knowledge of home economics from her field of expertise, always ensuring that a gratifying and nutritious farm fresh meal was ready for family and guests. Pat was a lifetime member of the Stone Ridge Library. She was an active member of the Junior League of Kingston, Ulster County Garden Club of America and the Women's Investment Club.

As an avid golfer, Pat was a longtime member of Wiltwyck Country Club, spending the summer enjoying both the competitive and social aspects of the sport. Winters were for skiing with her family and friends at Highmount in the Catskills. Pat's family has many fond memories of their wonderful ski vacations in the northeast. Pat also thoroughly enjoyed the beauty of flowers and the art of arranging them. Lovely arrangements could always be found in her home.

Pat's true love was watching her family grow and expand over the years. Fondly referred to as Nana, she followed every grandchild's passions, whether in their academic, athletic, religious, social or professional pursuits. Nana always showed sincere interest and pride in what they were doing, often traveling to their many games, shows, graduations and special events. She was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great grandmother. Pat is survived by her children, Lynn Kavookjian and her husband Haik of New Canaan, CT, Robert K. Davenport and his wife Maria of Lomontville, Maryanne Davenport of Lomontville, Douglas P. Davenport and his wife Barbara of Lomontville, as well as sixteen grandchildren and one great granddaughter. They were all her pride and joy. Pat is predeceased by her husband Bob and her siblings, Anna Marie Bushnell and Patrick Manfro.

Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Kingston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's RC Church, 160 Broadway Kingston, NY 12401 on Monday August 7th, 2017 at 1:00PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Stone Ridge Public Library, PO Box 188, Stone Ridge, NY 12484.
