Albert A. Wery
June 16, 1935 - August 5, 2017

Albert A. Wery, age 82, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully at home onto his eternal rest on Saturday, August 5, 2017. He was born in Duval, WI, on June 16, 1935, as the only son of the late George and Doris (DeBeck) Wery. Al was a graduate of Central High School and had recently attended monthly breakfast meetings with his classmates. He also proudly served two years in the United States Army before working for Schreiber Foods for 44 years.
On July 4, 1956, Al and Jolene (Patterson) were united in marriage and together they shared 61 years. He and Jolene enjoyed traveling all over the state of Wisconsin driving in their Buick LeSabre, on which they racked up over 365,000 miles.
Al's favorite hobbies were smoking fish, gardening, and woodworking. He contributed his talents at St. Matthew's Parish in Allouez for many years and he will be missed by many friends from the parish. Fr. Bob refers to Al as "Mr. Fixit".
Al is survived by his wife, Jolene; daughter, Amy (Paul) Latus; their children, Kirk Latus and Kayla (Patrick) Kennedy; daughter, Lorrie (Steve) Mikulsky; their children, Heidi (Corey) Brey, (great-grandson, Bradley and twins on the way), Jessica (Matt) Keehan, (great-granddaughters, Cadence and Cora, along with another one on the way), and Brooke Neta, (great-grandson, Austin); son, Richard (Amy Anderson) Wery; and their children, Cassie, David, and Brandon Wery. He will also be dearly missed by his life-long childhood friends, Marv and Jan Delvaux.
In addition to his parents, Al is preceded in death by his first newborn daughter, Amy Jaret Wery.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, 130 St. Matthew's St., from 10:00 a.m. to the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m. Father Bob Kabat will be officiating the mass. Military Honors will follow. Burial will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery. Al's family wishes to extend a special thank you to the wonderful neighbors, Dave and Lori Bergner and Bruce Hanson, for caring and supporting Al and Jolene so much!
