Gary Duke, 70, Yorktown, passed away Monday evening, August 7, 2017 at his residence.
He was born March 20, 1947 in Bloomington, Indiana, the son of Herbert and Helen Duke. Gary grew up in Coalbluff, Indiana. He attended First Freewill Baptist Church; Gary worked for 44 years at Columbia Home Products, where they made general housewares. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, and his favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt. Gary also enjoyed tinkering with any cars in general, mushroom hunting, and enjoyed listening to country music.
Survivors include his wife, Dae Cha (Park) Duke, daughters, Kimberly (husband Bill) Ramsey, Jill Wright, Tiffany Duke, Jessica Scank, and Kasey Duke; stepdaughter, Maria (husband Jonathan) Clough; stepsons Jonathan Lipke and Stephen Steinhall; sister Linda (husband Robert) Carter; brothers Roger (wife Angie) Duke, Gerald (wife Paulette) Duke, and Daniel (wife Renie) Duke; fifteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and eight step grandchildren.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Randy Duke.
Services will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 W. Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304 with Pastor Jerry Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
Family and friends may call at Elm Ridge Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Saturday.
