MADISON/DANE-Christine Ann Theisen (neé Schuetz), age 94, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017.  She was born in Dane, Wis., on Feb. 14, 1923, a St. Valentine's baby.  Christine would tell us, "My mother told me I came in a blizzard."  Her parents were Michael and Susan (Rassel) Schuetz.  Christine married Vernon Theisen at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Dane on May 1, 1947.  They had an especially close and happy 68 years together.  Christine's favorite things in life were her home, family and catholic faith.  Her gentle demeanor belied her strength.  Christine is survived by her children, James (Sheila) Theisen and Michael (Dawn) Theisen; six grandchildren, Carlos, Maria, Gabriela, Frances, Virginia and John "Jack" Theisen; siblings, Nicholas Schuetz, Marie (Don) Kelley and Mathias (Rita) Scheutz; sister-in-law, Jackie Schuetz; and many other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her dear husband of 67 years, Vernon; and four siblings, Elizabeth Hoffman, John Schuetz, Olive Luczynski and Michael Schuetz.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2450 Atwood Ave, Madison, at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017, with Father Michael Radowicz presiding.  A luncheon will follow the Mass.  Entombment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Thursday.
