Douglas Neils Hoel
September 1, 1938 - August 1, 2017

Douglas Hoel was born on September 01, 1938 in Salt Lake City Utah. He passed away at home August 1, 2017. He was raised by Edwin and Pearl Hoel before moving to Seattle. He was the brother to Marilyn Levy, Arlene McDonald, Ronald Hoel. He was married to Betty J.Hoel for many years and dad to Georgianna Halbig, Patricia, Zachary, Edward and Ronald Hoel.

He graduated from Ballard High School 1957. He became a commercial halibut fisherman like his father. After several years he retired to Bear Lake in Seward, Alaska until he moved back to Seattle five years ago. He enjoyed the adventures of life with family and friends.

His funeral service will be held at Evergreen Washelli in Seattle on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 10:00 am. There will be a potluck celebration after his funeral at Jimmy Jacks at 13520 Highway 99 in South Everett starting about noon. Please come so we can enjoy your memories.
