In loving memory of

June Goehler
July 9, 1931 - August 9, 2017

June Goehler (nee Williams) passed away peacefully on August 9, 2017, at age 86, surrounded by family.

She was born in Portland, Oregon. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1949, and attended Vanport College (now Portland State). She continued her education at Bellevue College, followed by the University of Washington, where she received Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Education; the latter with a focus on Counseling.

One important part of June's life and philosophy was volunteering. Especially important to her was her 29 years with Bellevue Probation, and the years at Eastside Alcohol Center. She also knit hats for charity, and the family continues to benefit from her creative skills, especially the warm personalized afghan blankets. She always felt blessed with friends and many entertaining activities. She had especially fond memories of past and present friends of Las Plumas Writing Group, and will miss the company of the time spent with them. And June was a huge fan of the Seattle Storm Women's Basket Ball team!

Her husband Donald passed away in 2015. She is survived by Lisa Goehler (Ron Gaykema), Gretchen Thomas, Barry Goehler (Sarah), Pam Pointer (Steve). Grandchildren Brandon Thomas (Joscelyn), Ariana Miklowitz, Emma Goehler, Grace Goehler, Mara Gaykema, and great-grandchild Garner Thomas. She is also survived by sisters Diana Hayes and Irma O'Connor.

There will be no services. If you would like to honor June's memory, you can donate to the Salvation Army or the charity of your choice.

GO STORM!
