DIXIE ULCH
MUSCATINE, Iowa - Dixie M. Ulch, 73, of Muscatine, passed away from leukemia on August 9, 2017 at home surrounded by her loved ones.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 14, 2017, at the Zion Lutheran Church with Vicar Kyle Siebert officiating. A time of food and fellowship will be held following the service at the church.
Visitation will be held from 1 until 4 p.m. on Sunday, August 13, 2017, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Unity Point Hospice.
Dixie was born in Council Bluffs, IA on April 5, 1944. She was the daughter of Charles and Henrietta McCormick, and graduated from Muscatine High School in 1962.
Dixie married Larry Ulch in 1971. Together they enjoyed boating, bowling, golfing, playing cards, and going out for dinner with friends. He preceded her in death less than two months ago.
Dixie will be deeply missed by her children, Julie (Jeff) Brown of Muscatine, Tamara (Michael) Bailey of Westfield, IN, Everett Ulch of New Boston, IL, and Christopher (Lori) Ulch, Melody (Thomas) Rogers, and Kelly (Ken) Akins, all of Muscatine; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sisters, Sandy Greenwalt of Rio Rancho, NM, Nancy (Pat) Gehringer of Huntsville, AL, and Michele (Ron) Fife of West Palm Beach, FL.
Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Sherry Lees and Donna Messersmith; and infant daughter, Angela Kay Bivens.
