George Robert "Bob" Moore, 98, of Okoboji, formerly of Waterloo, died Friday, August 11 at the Hawkeye Care Center in Milford, Iowa. He was born February 18, 1919 in Urbana, son of Charles D. and Birdie O. Berg Moore. He married Stella J. "Stacey" Domeszwski on July 4, 1947 in University City, Mo. She died April 23, 2004. Bob graduated from Iowa State University and was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the Army as a First Lieutenant. In 1947 he was a salesperson for Cherry Burrell in Cedar Rapids, and in 1957 he started his own company called Midwest Food Supply, which he ran until his retirement 25 years later. Survived by: a daughter, Karen (Gary) Lippe of Okoboji/ Tucson Ariz; four sons, James (Cheryl) Moore of Waterloo, Steven (Anna) Moore of Okoboji, Stan (Sharla) Moore of Fairfax and Tom (Linda) Moore of Des Moines; 10 grandchildren, Charles (Sarah) Moore, Bob, Kristina (Jake) Taylor, Stephanie, (Peter Bratney, Skyler Moore, Joe Moore, Sheridan Moore, Elizabeth (Colter) Prehm, Jarrad Moore, Mackenzie Moore; 8 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: his wife, and parents. Private Family Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway. Public visitation will take place one hour before services at the funeral home. Full Military rites will be conducted by the Iowa Army honor Guard and the Evansdales AMVETS post 31. Memorials may be directed to the family. Bob and Stacey enjoyed their retirement years going to Okoboji in the summer and spending time with all their children and grandchildren. They spent many winters at their home in Mesa, Ariz.
