Daphne Maurrasse, 77, of Pembroke Pines, Florida passed away August 11, 2017. She has been a resident of South Florida since 2006, coming from Mt. Vernon, New York. She was born, as Daphne Hanson, in Santa Cruz, Jamaica. In 1961, she moved to New York City where she met her husband and had two sons. Daphne was a member of Holy Sacrament Episcopal Church and an active volunteer at the Park Place Condominium, both in Pembroke Pines.
Daphne is survived by her sons, Michael and David; grandsons, Daniel and Max; sister, Dorothy Kinlocke; nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends all around the world. She was preceded in death by her husband Fernand Maurrasse, and numerous brothers and sisters.
Visitation is from 10-11:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at Fred Hunter's University Drive Home, 2401 S. University Drive in Davie. The Rev. Dr. Percy Ransom will officiate.
