Mary Ann Waggener
March 8, 1945 - August 10, 2017

Mary Ann Waggener, daughter of Clinton and Esther (Dunn) Rima, was born March 8, 1945 in Shenandoah, Iowa. She passed away on August 10, 2017 at the Hillcrest Care Center in Laurel, Nebraska at the age of 72.

Mary Ann was born and raised in Shenandoah, Iowa. Graduating from Shenandoah High School with the class of 1963. In 1964, she moved to Phoenix, Arizona with her sister Dawn Ella. One year later she returned to Shenandoah and started working for Union Carbide also known as Eveready Battery in Red Oak, Iowa. In 1996, she started working for Shenandoah Medical Center until 2012. She was a member of the Assembly of God in Shenandoah. She enjoyed quilting and collecting old clocks.

She was preceded in death by her parents Clinton and Esther Rima, sisters Joann Inman and Dawn Ella Rima.

Mary Ann is survived by her sons Brian Lee Waggener and wife Mary Elizabeth and Michael Reed Waggener, grandson Christopher Adair, nephews Craig Inman and wife Tammy, Allen Inman and family and Kelly Rima, nieces Shelly Rima and family and Connie Inman and family, brother-in-law Phillip Inman, six great nephews and seven great nieces.

Celebration of life graveside service will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, August 19, 2017 at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Shenandoah.

Visitation with the family will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, Saturday, August 19, 2017 at the Hackett-Livingston Funeral Home in Shenandoah.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

"Im just finding out about Mary Ann. I was raised in the Assembly of God church with Mary Ann. Mary was always so sweet and loved to laugh. A few years ago she would stop by to visit. I enjoyed seeing her and reminiscing about the good old days at AG with the Stoddard girls and the Sorenson girls.. Mary loved her boys. I am so sorry for your loss. "

"I knew Mary Ann when she worked at Eveready and she was a client at Shenandoah Animal Hospital where I worked. She loved her little dog Colby and took really good care of him. She was such a sweet person, loved to reminisce about the good old days at Eveready. Her laughter will be missed."
