LeRoy Henry Dralle
August 12, 1938 - August 18, 2017

LeRoy Henry Dralle, 79, of Allison, Iowa, passed away, Friday, August 18, 2017, at his home in Allison, Iowa.  He was born August 12, 1938, in Waverly, Iowa, to Herman and Henrietta (Frerichs) Dralle.  LeRoy graduated from Allison Community Schools in Allison, Iowa.  He was united in marriage to Bonnie Jones on August 10, 1958, at St. James Lutheran Church in Allison, Iowa.  LeRoy worked at Butler County REC for 43 years as a lineman and line supervisor.  He was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church serving on the church council and Luther League leader.  LeRoy volunteered for meals on wheels, Allison food pantry for 20 years and managed the pantry for 10 years, Cub Scout leader and taking taped church services to members confined to homes or nursing homes.  He enjoyed smoking meats for others, especially deer meat, fishing trips to Minnesota with his children and grandchildren, and took many other trips with his wife Bonnie, playing bridge and other card games with friends, bowling and golfing with friends.  Leroy enjoyed life.  He is survived by his wife Bonnie of Allison, daughter Kelly (David) Thorne of Allison, son James (Kim) Dralle of Farmington, Minnesota, grandson Joseph (Jennifer) Thorne and great-great granddaughter Anayla Thorne of Chicago, grandson Daniel (Lexis) Thorne and their soon to be born baby girl of Evansdale, grandson Brian (Lita) Dralle of Ohio and granddaughter Ashleigh Dralle of Farmington. LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother.

My favorite memory of LeRoy is you and I talking, catching up and delight in seeing each other, all the while LeRoy is working circles around us!! He was always busy helping others!
