Darrell Francis Jespersen
November 13, 1936 - August 24, 2017

Graveside services for 80 year-old Darrel Jespersen of Graettinger will be 5:30 pm, Monday August 29th at St. Jacobs Catholic Cemetery north of Graettinger. The family will greet friends from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at the Joyce-Alesch Funeral Home on Monday.

Darrell Francis Jespersen, son of Helmer "Shorty" and Vivian (Wolf) Jespersen was born November 13, 1936 in Graettinger, IA. He was a 1954 graduate of Graettinger High School. On May 17, 1959, Darrell was united in marriage to Theresa Ann Tindall in Graettinger and to this union, five children were born.

Darrell farmed near Graettinger for many years. He moved to Minneapolis where he managed apartments for the city of Minneapolis before returning to Graettinger to continue property management.

Darrell enjoyed fishing, canning and gambling from time to time. He loved farming and going on snowmobile trips with Theresa and other friends. They were the couple that did everything together.

On Thursday, August 24, Darrell passed away at Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Roger (Lisa) Jespersen of Emmetsburg, Mike of Arvada, CO, Michelle (Shane) Nielson of Spencer and Roxanne (Nick) Huberty of Mason City; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Darrell was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Theresa; son, Mitchel; brother, Lee and three sisters: Lois, Linda and Delores.
