MUSCATINE, Iowa - Aldona D. Nainis, 95, of Muscatine, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2017, at Premier Estates.

Aldona was born on June 8, 1922, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Peter K. and Ona Burnis Malelo. She married William Stanley Nainis, MD on December 16, 1944, in Chicago. He preceded her in death in 2001.
She was a ballet dancer and performed at the 1933 World's Fair in Chicago.
She received her Bachelor's Degree in Speech Therapy at the University of Illinois, and taught for several years. She was also the bookkeeper for her husband's physician's office.
Those left to honor her memory include one son, William Scott Nainis and wife, Mary Lynnette Doyle, of Maryland, one daughter, Nancy Nainis of Muscatine; three grandchildren, Erin Elizabeth Field of Muscatine, Susan Dolores Gargiulo of Brooklyn, New York, and William Stuart Nainis of Brooklyn, New York; and two great-granddaughters, Ella and Elise Field.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Allen Malelo in 2013.
