COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado -- Todd David Krueger, 40, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, a former resident of Muscatine, Iowa, died on Sunday, August 27, 2017, at Penrose Medical Center in Colorado Springs, after complications from cardiac arrest.
Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2017, at the Musserville United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. on Friday, September 1, 2017, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Todd was born on August 27, 1977, in Muscatine, son of Donald and Barbara Phelps Krueger. He married Kendra Payton in Muscatine on August 5, 2007. They are the proud parents of a beautiful boy, Cayden James.
Todd had a love for sports and music. He loved anything St. Louis Cardinals, Raiders and Heavy Metal music, although he did have a soft spot for Joe Jackson and the Beatles. He loved the outdoors, especially the Rocky Mountains.
Todd's greatest joy though, was his wife, Kendra and their son, Cayden. Cayden and Todd were best friends; they shared an inseparable bond.
Todd was a kind and loving soul, whose final act of unselfishness was through his gift of organ donation. Todd was able to save and help several suffering people so they can live on. His family is comforted by knowing people can live through his generous gifts.
Todd is survived by his wife of 10 years, Kendra, and his son, Cayden; his parents, Don and Barb Krueger of Mechanicsville; his mother-in-law, Connie Payton and father-in-law, Andy McKillip of Muscatine; siblings, Hope Nealson of New Mexico; Sarah (Scott) Stineman of Davenport; Kevyn Krueger of Muscatine, and Amy (Kyle) Hermiston of Davenport; his grandmother, Marilyn Phelps of Muscatine; nieces, Ashlynn, Zoe, Macie, Avery, Lylah, and Stella; nephews, Parker and Baylor; and uncles, aunts and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Wes Phelps, and grandparents, Irvin and Fern Krueger.
