AnnaMarie Courtier, 18, of Tabor, IA died on August 30, 2017 in Thurman, IA. Celebration of Life will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at the Loess Hills Funeral and Cremation Center in Glenwood with Pastor Kimberly Bowles officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 9:00 a.m.
AnnaMarie Joy Courtier, daughter of Brenda DeLashmutt and Brian Courtier, was born on May 16, 1999 at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, IA. AnnaMarie received her education from Tabor and Glenwood Schools graduating in 2016. She worked in the kitchen at the Tabor Manor in Tabor.
AnnaMarie or "Pooh" loved all animals especially her ferret, Captain Jack. She was a very independent young lady that had a very humorous and mischievous side to her. She enjoyed a good cup of coffee and would always spice it up with sugar and different creams such as mocha or hazelnut. She enjoyed collecting anything related to foxes. She played the dulcimer and trumpet in the family band. She enjoyed crocheting and going on "ghost hunts".
AnnaMarie was excited to be getting a place of her own as she was working hard and saving her money for all the items you need when you move out on your own.
AnnaMarie is preceded in death by her maternal and paternal great grandparents.
AnnaMarie is survived by her mother, Brenda DeLashmutt; father, Brian Courtier; brother, Tim Courtier; sister, Voniece Courtier; maternal grandparents, William and Valorie DeLashmutt; paternal grandparents, Fred Sr. and Mattie Courtier; aunt, uncles, cousins and a host of special friends, especially Mark Williams.
