"Cat and Jonathan asked me to attend the birth of their son Griffin. It was an honor and joy to see them working together as a loving couple through labor and birth. Cat was patient and determined throughout and Jonathan gave her encouragement and support, and humor. When Griffin was born I saw the beautiful transformation from woman into a mother, from a man into a father. A sense of calm and love filled the room and Cat became intensely focused on her perfect and wonderful little baby. The radiance on her face proclaimed she had immediately fallen in love with their beautiful boy. She and Jonathan and Griffin. Cat was a lively, vibrant and energetic woman who brightened so many lives with her voice, personality, and seriously fabulous ever-changing hair! She was a devoted and loving mother and wife. Cat lives within each of us that had the privilege of knowing her. Cat is alive in Griffn. She touched my life in a unique way and I will always be grateful for that. Love to Jonathan, Griffin, and family. Fiona "

"I have had the honor and privilege of knowing Cat through being one of her yoga students, she was a amazing instructor. As well as a amazing person with many talents, I enjoyed the plays she performed in. I could never figure out in yoga class how she could tie her hair in a bun without and ties. She will be greatly missed and always be a part of my yoga practice. Sincerely, Wendy Dunn "

"Cat Barney is one of the most talented, brave, honest performers and friends I've had the pleasure to work with and know. She meant so much to my work, and to the lives of MaryEl, the boys and me. Nothing but love to the "one woman crusade." Jonathan and Griffin, you are in our hearts."

"Jonathan and Griffin, My heart, love and prayers are with you and your family. Cat was such an inspiration to me and to our staff, her love for Griffin was so powerful and joyful! She shared her story to strengthen other parents and support them in their journey. I am so fortunate to have known her! We would like to place a memory paver in the front of the building next to Griffin's. Take care of yourself and give time for healing and remembrance. Celebrate her wonderful life!! Leah"
