She also enjoyed gardening and car rides, and walks to the post-office where she would catch up or catch others up on the town's news. She also loved spending time with her granddaughter and great-grandson.
Surviving Dorothy are her children, Lori (Joe) Sparks of Bennett, Bryan Borchers (Ronda Fields) of Tipton, Troy Borchers of Bennett; sister, Diane (Kevin) Grimm Sr. of Victor; brother, Gerald Motz; granddaughter, Teresa (Ian) Bjurstrom; great-grandson, Maddox Bjurstrom and one on the way, all of Bennett.

"My deepest sympathy to all the family on the passing of Dort. I was one that enjoyed those visits at the Post Office She was a special lady and I know very dear to Loren. Working in the old Bennett FS office was a place for friendships and sharing life problems, not to mention Loren enjoying a beer or two after work with his work gals. Seemed he always came home with a fish story....imagine that!! I'm sure they'll be sharing more stories and maybe a beer or two up above! God bless you all! Sharon Kleppe"

"I am going to miss Dort dearly. All though we drifted apart, we always called each other on our birthdays. We worked together at FS for quite a few years and went fishing almost every weekend, whether they were biting or not. We would sit there all day long. It was our time together. We laughed, cried, had a few beers, and shared a lot of special memories that I will never forget and cherish for the rest of my life. May peace be with you until we meet again. Judy Niedorf"
