Wilma Madelyn Uthe
September 10, 1938 - September 24, 2017

Wilma Madelyn (Croot) Uthe, age 79, of Iowa Falls, formerly of Ackley and Dumont, died at the Scenic Manor Care Center on Sunday, September 24th, 2017. Wilma was born September 10, 1938, in Iowa Falls. She is the daughter of LaVere and Byrdie (Andrews) Croot. She graduated from Iowa Falls High School and attended Ellsworth College and NIACC.

On May 25, 1957, she was united in marriage to Francis John Uthe at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Iowa Falls. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Dumont, IA, then of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ackley. Wilma was a long time member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Francis and Wilma ran a service station, café, and fruit vegetable stand in Dumont until 1982. Her husband Francis passed in 1988. Wilma liked to garden and loved flowers, listening and singing to music, traveling, and talking to friends and family. Wilma married Robert Kobliska in 1992 and was divorced in 2009.

Wilma is survived by her seven daughters and four sons: Jeanette Lunstrum of Hondo, TX; Janice Williams and husband Tony of Rapid City, SD; Charlene Clark and husband Michael of Clarksville, IA; Mark Uthe and wife Jodi of Dumont, IA; Rosanne Van Dyke of Dumont, IA; Christopher Uthe and wife Veronica of Dumont, IA; Constance Wagner and husband Robert of North Liberty, IA; John Uthe and wife Kathleen of Ames, IA; Joanney Uthe of St. Bonifacius, MN; Mary Leisinger and husband Paul of Waverly, IA; and Franklin Uthe and wife Debrorah of Dows, IA. 14 grandchildren, 11 step grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 16 step great-grandchildren.

Wilma is preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, a brother (Andrew Croot), sister-in-law (Edeltraud Croot), a sister (Annella McMurray), brother-in-law (William McMurray), a son-in-law (Steve Van Dyke), 6 infant grandchildren and 1 infant great-grandson.
