Otis Hubert "Buddy" Welch, Jr., 57, died peacefully at home on September 27, 2017.
Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, September 29, 2017, at Memory Chapel with funeral services to follow at 11 a.m. at the Chapel. Interment will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Rev. Sid Tucker and Rev. Ken Harrison will officiate.
Buddy loved to spend time with his grandsons, watch Alabama football, and watch NASCAR. He was retired from Mississippi Power.
He is survived by his sons, Zach Welch (Kami) and Caleb Welch; grandsons, Kyler, Kane and Keegan; mother, Bobbie Welch; sisters, Anise Walters (George) and Denise Hayes (David); longtime companion, Lisa Harger; nephews, Cody, Justin, and Ryan, and a host of great nieces and nephews.
He is joining other family members in heaven, including his father, Otis Hubert Welch, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Otis Welch and Nettie Welch; and maternal grandparents, Mae Jernigan and Sharp Jernigan.
Pallbearers will be Cody Hayes, David Hayes, Justin Walters, Kirby Holloway, Mikey Walley, and Jody Boler.
