Johnnie Nicholson, age 67, of Hayesville, died Thursday, September 28, 2017, at his home.
Johnnie was born August 28, 1950, in Ottumwa, to Wilbur and Emma Nicholson. He received his education in Ottumwa Schools and took auto mechanic courses at Indian Hills Community College. Johnnie married Elaine Horton in 1970 in Ottumwa. He worked as a service technician at Wagler Motors in Sigourney for 26 years, Carousel Ford in Iowa City and Clemons Ford in Ottumwa. Johnnie attained the highest Ford service tech certification possible. He enjoyed playing with Elaine's Yorkie and watching westerns and Sci-Fi.
Survivors include his wife: Elaine of Hayesville. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
