Agnes M. Moran
January 10, 1921 - September 27, 2017

Agnes Matilda Moran, 96, of Carmel, Indiana, formerly of Pigeon, Michigan died Wednesday, September 27, 2017 in Westfield, Indiana.

Agnes was born in Verona, Michigan on January 10, 1921, to the late Herb and Mary (Humphrey) Hebner. She married William J Moran on March 21, 1941 in Bad Axe, Michigan. He preceded her in death on February 25, 2002.

She attended country school and graduated from Bad Axe High School in 1937. After several years living and working in Detroit, the family moved to Pigeon, Michigan where she spent the next 58 years before moving to Carmel, Indiana to live with her son's family. She was a member of the First United Methodist church in Pigeon and a member of the Eastern Star, including service as a state officer for the Order. She was also a valued volunteer at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland, Florida. She loved flower gardening, watching sports, game shows, and Lawrence Welk, and enjoying activities with her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Mike (Harriet) Moran; her grandchildren Ryan, and Sarah (Stephen) Rudder; sister-in-law Mary Lou Ridens. She was preceded in death by brothers Willard (Aletha), Howard (Grace), Jay (Eileen), Herb, and sisters Gladys, Ethel, Blanch, and Mary (Clarence) Yenglin. She was also preceded in death by long time loving companion Charles Best.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at The First United Methodist Church, 7102 E Michigan Ave, Pigeon, MI 48755 on October 28th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.

Memorials may be offered to the First United Methodist Church in Pigeon, Michigan.
