William G. Knott
April 4, 1943 - September 29, 2017

William George Knott, age 74, of Ambler, PA died peacefully on Friday, September 29, 2017 at the Keystone Hospice in Wyndmoor, PA.

William was born on April 4, 1943 in Norristown, PA. He is the son of the late Warren R. and Mary (nee Lane) Knott and brother of the late Jimmy Knott.

He was a graduate of Ambler High School Class of 1961.

Mr. Knott was a proud member of the Steamfitters Local Union 420. He retired in 2002.

William was an avid Golfer and former member of the Oak Terrace Country Club. He enjoyed numerous golf trips which included his lifelong friends and their sons. In his retirement years, he enjoyed fishing.

William is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Kathleen (nee Scheeler) Knott and his devoted children William J. Knott and his wife Becky and Kristin McAluney and her husband Pat both of Ambler PA. He is the wonderful grandfather of Abigail Grace, Gianna, Luca, Sal, Stella, and Olivia. He is also survived by brothers: Richard Knott (Barbara) of Lansdale, PA and Terry Knott of Anaheim, CA.

Relatives and friends are invited to call after 9:00 AM on Friday, October 6, 2017 at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home, 1111 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler. An 11:00 AM Funeral Service will be held.

Remembrances in Williams name to the Keystone Hospice, 8765 Stenton Ave.
