Mary Kathryn Halder
April 23, 1942 - October 1, 2017

Mary Halder, 75, of Webster City, died Sunday, October 1, 2017, at her home in Webster City. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Sampson Room at Fuller Hall. Graveside Services will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at Graceland Cemetery.
Mary Kathryn Rapp, daughter of Lyle and Pauline Smith Rapp, was born April 23, 1942 in Webster City. She was a 1960 graduate of Webster City High School. She married Ronald Alan Lateer on November 25, 1961 in Webster City. To this union two daughters were born. The couple later divorced. Mary married Clair "Tom" Louis Halder on October 23, 1976 in Webster City. He preceded her in death on August 29, 2014. Mary worked for many years at Electrolux before retiring in 2004.
Mary is survived by daughters, Alicia (Bill) Lateer-Huhn of Alexandria, KY and Amy Lateer of Webster City and many cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Tom, sister, Judy Eide and her beloved dog, Sadie.
Mary enjoyed playing cards, especially 500 at the Senior Center with all of her friends. She also enjoyed crafts, dogs and most of all, spending time with her family.
The family would like to thank Jan, Unity Point Hospice and the staff of Life and Health Care for their compassion and wonderful care of our Mom.
