"My car had broken down on my way home one afternoon. I knew the Brandhof family lived a short way down the road. I didn't not know the family personally, but 38 years ago there were no cell phones etc and I had to get home in time to work my shift at Pat & Mel's!! So I walked to their house and Mrs. Brandhof was so kind & caring!! She treated a stranger with the compassion of a Mother. She had one of her son's assist in getting my car going again and even had him follow me home to be sure I made it without further issues. I sent a heartfelt Thank You note to her and her family for their kindness & assistance!! They came into Pat & Mel's several times during my shifts and I always gushed over them for their kindness! Mrs. Brandhof, you are Forever a True Angel ? Diana (Barnes) Smith"
