THE WOODLANDS - Raymond Stewart Watson, 94, passed away at home in The Woodlands on Friday, September 29, 2017.

Raymond was born February 5, 1923 in Perris, Cali. He lived in Benbrook, Fort Worth, Sherman, Jacksonville, Ill., Fresno, Cali., and Houston. Raymond was a 1st Lieutenant in the Army and fought in the, Battle of the Bulge in WWII. He was discharged March 1946, was in reserves until 1953. Raymond graduated from Texas A&M, August 1946 with a degree in Chemical Engineering.
Raymond married Elaine Townes in November 21, 1946. He received numerous awards, including Outstanding Young Man of the Year in Illinois, 1959 and Mayor of Jacksonville, Illinois 1960-1963. He worked for Mrs. Tuckers/Anderson Clayton Foods for 40 years working up to Vice President of Manufacturing. Then he worked for Watson, Inc. until 2002 when he retired at age 79. Raymond was instrumental in starting Cornerstone Assistance Network

Raymond was preceded by his wife, Elaine; brother, Paul; and sister, Margie.
Survivors: Sister, Cheryl Chanslor , 92, of Dallas; daughters, Karen Elaine Gregg and husband Don R. of Kyle , Kathy Lynn Allison and husband, D. Crawford, of Waco and Konnie Watson Andrews and husband, D. Craig of Chama, N.M. ; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren
