Clarence Sveen
June 16, 1936 - October 1, 2017

Clarence Allen Sveen, 81 of Winona died Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse.
Clarence was born June 16, 1936 in Galesville, WI to Arthur and Carrie (Olson) Sveen. On November 28, 1958, he married Gloria Godtland at Central Lutheran Church in Winona. Clarence worked at Fibrite Corporation for 30 years. Following retirement from Fibrite, he worked part-time at Watkins Distribution and Central Garage. He was a member of Central Lutheran Church.
He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and loved to be doing just about anything, as long as he was outdoors.
Clarence is survived by his wife, Gloria; six children, Peggy (David) Eide of Winona; Todd Sveen of Winona; Brian (John Stephens) Sveen of Onalaska; Lynn (John) Shanrock of Minnesota City; Carla (Mike) Blood of Winona; and April (Jason) Pagenkopf of Winona; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Sonja Olson of Ettrick and a sister-in-law, Joan Sveen of River Falls, WI.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-dad, Andrew Daffinson; brothers, Leo Sveen, Ronald Sveen, Edward Sveen, Robert Sveen and an infant brother, Art Sveen.
A Celebration of Clarence's life will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 6, 2017 at Central Lutheran Church with the Reverend Louise Stromberg officiating. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m., until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Central Lutheran Church. Hoff Celebration of Life Center - Goodview is assisting the family with arrangements.
