Ronald D. Gottschalk, age 57, of Rochester, died on Monday, October 2, 2017, at Regions Hospital in St. Paul. The funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes with Reverend Nathaniel Schwartz officiating with a visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester.
Ronald was born on July 15, 1960, in Rochester, MN to Alvin and Lucille (King) Gottschalk. He attended Golden Hill Elementary School in Rochester. He made his home at the REM Homes in Rochester since 1980 and worked with PossAbilities for many years. Ronald enjoyed going for rides, stuffed animals, listening to 50's and 60's music on the radio and loved making phone calls especially to his family. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Rochester.
Ronald is survived by his siblings, Roger (Nancy) Gottschalk of West Allis, WI, Sharon (Wes) Mills of Rochester, Susan (Gary) Tvedt of Lakeville, Richard (Kim) Gottschalk of Waseca, Sandra (Bruce) Rosendahl of Rochester, Sharlene (Deny) Djock of Byron and Randy (Kathleen) Gottschalk of LeRoy; many nieces and nephews.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents.
