Donald R. Scott 99, of Port Charlotte, Florida died on October 1, 2017 in Port Charlotte, Florida He was born on August 23, 2017 in Chicago, Illinois to Charles Scott and Mary Smaltz Scott.
He came to Port Charlotte, Florida from Aurora, Illinois in 2011. Donald was a Design Engineer for Sun Beam Appliance company, retiring in 1976 after 35 years of service. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
He is survived by his son, Robert E. Scott of Chicago, Illinois; 4 grandchildren, Randall, Erin, Patrick and Brendan; 4 great grandchildren, Gavin, Maeve, Grace and Liam. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary Scott, his son, Richard Scott and his brother, Charles Thomas Scott.
Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at St. Charles Church Memorial Garden.
