"Over the past seven years, Hans and Gaby have been my neighbors, friends and adopted family. I met them when Hans invited me sailing just after I moved in across the canal. I immediately fell in love with sailing. I made new friends, had lots of fun and learned about sailing. I have wonderful memories of the beer can races and the famous Ladies Day races with "Hans' Herum." I also enjoyed our gatherings after a day on the water, eating and drinking while Hans regaled us with stories of sailing through the Islands. I've posted a few pics of our fun times on the water. Hans' passing leaves a hole in my heart and I will miss my dear friend very much. I am so thankful for our friendship and the fun times we've had. I will think of them often. Love you Hans."

On Monday October 2, 2017, Hans-Jochen "Hans" Conrad, age 75 of Boca Raton, Florida, passed away under the care of Trustbridge Hospice in Boca Raton.
Born in Arnsberg, Germany and a resident of South Florida since 1971, he is survived by his beloved wife, Gabriele Conrad, his daughter, Natasha Conrad and granddaughter, Jessica Oldehoff.
