August 23, 1933 - October 3, 2017
W. Ann Porter, 84, formerly of Penn Twp., passed away Tuesday October 3rd in Riles Home-Aid Haven in Myerstown.
She was married to the late Richard A. Porter who passed away November 8, 2009.
Born in Troy PA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Hendershot and Winifred (Beam) Hendershot.
She graduated from Troy High School. She then graduated from Pottstown School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
She was formerly employed as a Registered Nurse at several local hospitals and many years ago she was employed by Bernville Medical Clinic.
She was a former member of Community Evangelical Church in Sinking Spring.
Surviving are two children, Pamela Ann Bell, wife of Stephen Bell of Jonestown and Timothy R. Porter, husband of Lorraine Porter of Robesonia.
There are ten grandchildren, Rebekah Bell, Elizabeth Bell, Rachael Ilgenfritz, wife of Benjamin Ilgenfritz, Sarah Cole, wife of Calum Cole, Nathaniel Bell, husband of Stephanie Bell, Andrew Bell, Hannah Kees, wife of Jon Kees, Benjamin Bell, Joshua Porter, husband of Ally Porter, and Jeremy Porter, husband of Mary Clare Porter.
There are eight great grandchildren, Joshua, Jason, Abigail, Tristan, Rayna, Kylie, Skylar, and Austin.
Also, two sisters, Marjorie Decker and Connie Hartness.
She is predeceased by a sister, Phyllis Spencer.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, October 6th at 1 pm in St. Thomas Cemetery, Washington St., Bernville PA 19506.
