Frances "Fran" Gustine, (nee Silver) 73, of Rochester, passed away peacefully, after a short illness, on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Cottagewood Senior Communities.
Fran was born April 13, 1944 in Sauk Center, MN to Clyde and Inez Silver. Her family moved to Wadena when she was a child and she lived there until graduating from high school in 1962. She attended the University of Minnesota and worked as an auditor for an insurance company in St. Paul until her marriage to William Gustine in 1978. Fran graduated from Winona State with a degree in nursing in 1992 and worked at a home health agency and at Mayo.
Fran is survived by her stepchildren, Gregg (Teresa) Gustine, Lori (Tim) Lutzke, Daniel (Cindy) Gustine; sister, Barbara Robinson; many loving step-grandchildren; step great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Fran was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; sisters, Helen Halliwell and Inez Brown; brother, John Silver and her parents.
A gathering to celebrate Fran's life will be held from 1:00-3:00 p. m. Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester, MN 55901. A private inurnment will be held at Oakwood Cemetery.
