Eldo Carl Kruse
May 5, 1926 - October 6, 2017

Eldo Carl Kruse, 91, of Allison, Iowa, passed away Friday, October 6, 2017, at the Rehabilitation Center of Allison in Allison. He was born on May 5, 1926, in Bristow, Iowa, to Fred and Cena (Werkman) Kruse.

Eldo attended Brushy Mound School in Bristow. He was united in marriage to Rena Cavozza on June 10, 1950, in Staten Island, New York. Eldo served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He had the pleasure of being part of the Honor Flight and went to Washington, D.C. in 2013, with his brothers Harold and Herman.

He was a farmer and enjoyed it dearly. Eldo was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church - Vilmar, in rural Greene. He enjoyed fishing, playing checkers and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Eldo loved everything John Deere, including tractors, toys and memorabilia.

Eldo is survived by his children Mary (Dan) Graeser of Waverly, Ida Beaver of Mason City and JoAnn (Kim) Miller of Allison, grandchildren Andrew Kruse (Samantha), Mark Graeser (Megan), Robert Beaver (Becky), Kristi Miller (Travis), Matt Graeser (Marlee), Becky Kibbee (Jamie) and Daniel Beaver (Angie), twenty-four great-grandchildren, three great great-grandchildren, daughter-in-law Cathy Kruse (Gary), brother Harold (Marlys) Kruse, sister Ida Mae (Richard) Litterer, sisters-in-law Donna Kruse and Sharon Kruse, along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Cena, wife Rena, brothers Elmer, Emil, William, and Herman, sister Anna Reed, son John, son-in-law Gary Beaver and grandson David Beaver.
