"You do not know me , but I write in regard to the name Sandness. My husband and I were dear and c lose friends of Donald and Dorothy Sandness for many years . We first met them in Elgin where Donald and my husband were teachers . We kept in touch with them over the years and valued their friendship , plus that of their children , Lane and Serena . I remember that Don was born in Lamoure, and he often spoke of that place . I know that Don died some years ago , but I am not sure about Dorothy . I send you sincere sympathy in the loss of your father . Katherine Solmonson"

"Becky, our condolences on the passing of Marvin. I remember fondly playing for him when he sang solos in church, songs like "His Eye is on the Sparrow": "I sing because I'm happy. I sing because I'm free...." Please know we are thinking of you and hope to see you soon. Love, Jan Meyer and Roger Jorgenson"

"We will always have fond memories of Marv in Lanesboro, especially at local church functions and at the old Chat n' Chew restaurant. We did not know him previous to his accident, but found him very engaging and always interested in what we were doing and what was going in the community. Our condolences to Becky.
