Donald Ray Hall
June 28, 1945 - October 9, 2017

SSG Donald Ray Hall, age 72 of Estill Springs, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2017 at The Waters of Winchester. A native of Franklin County, he was born on June 28, 1945 to the late John Albert and Pearl Ann Campbell Hall. Don served in the United States Navy for four years before serving in the United States Army for over 23 years before his retirement. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Don is survived by his wife, Diane Goodman Hall of Estill Springs; daughter, Vatina (Chip) Lester of Estill Springs; son, Don Hall of Estill Springs; grandchildren, Brandon, Tyler, and Cody Lester; and brothers, Pete (Shirley) Hall, Hoyte (Judy) Hall, and John Hall; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 10-11 AM Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 AM in the Moore-Cortner Chapel. Interment will be at Franklin Memorial Gardens with full military honors bestowed. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to DAV Disabled American Veterans, P.O.
