Anne Weintraub
July 16, 1933 - October 9, 2017

Anne Fennell Weintraub (nee Cuthbert) passed away peacefully on October 9, 2017 with her beloved sons by her side. She was 84 years old.

Anne was born in Dublin, Ireland, the daughter of the late Anne (nee Moore) and Stephen Cuthbert and attended Saint Brigid's School. When Anne was twenty she moved to the United States and married her first husband Michael J. Fennell in 1953. They settled in Center Square to raise their family.

Anne is the loving mother of Michael J. Fennell, PhD. and Terrence Fennell (Mary Anne) of Ambler and Susanne DeGroat (Thomas) of Bradenton, Florida. She is the proud Grandmother of Susanne's four children Jonathan, Christopher and Allison DeGroat and Melissa (DeGroat) DeVice; Michael's sons Joseph and Patrick Fennell; and Terry's sons Patrick and Brian Fennell. Anne is the Great-grandmother of Whitley Blake DeGroat. Anne was preceded in death by her husband Michael Fennell in 1979.

Anne married Alfred J. Weintraub of Philadelphia in 1992 and together they spent five adventurous years traveling the globe. Anne was preceded in death by Alfred in 1997.

Anne loved to read and was an avid skier when her children were young. She loved fluke fishing at the shore with Michael and her grandsons. Anne was a talented knitter and made beautiful sweaters while she watched tennis and golf which she loved. Anne was Wissahickon Wrestling's biggest fan, watching her sons and then her grandsons compete for almost 50 years. Anne's most cherished time was spent with her family.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, October 14, 2017 after 9:30 AM at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home, 1111 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler. Anne's Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
