Jeanne J. Welch (Wenzel), 74, of Englewood, Florida passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, September 8, 2017 under the loving care of Terri Thomas. Jeanne was born in Sarasota, Florida to Robert P. Wensel and Josephine Wensel.
Jeanne has lived her entire life as a native of the Southwest Gulf Coast and often shared with others how different it looks today from years past. Jeanne started her professional career as a hair stylist and then later assisted her husband with his construction business. During her married years she was an avid lover of horses and trained and showed them around the country. In addition Jeanne was an artist, a reader and lover of dogs. Her 2 Yorkies never left her beside during her final days.
Jeanne's husband, Alton (Al) Welch, preceded her in death 2 years ago along with her sister, Nancy Butler, deceased several years ago. Jeanne is survived by her son, Robert Welch, daughter-in-law, Terri Thomas, niece, Lori Ann Stone, and nephew, Robert Butler.
Relatives and friends of Jeanne will remember her zest for life, her astounding wit and humor, her unerring strength to live her life to the fullest and her concern and passion for others.
Jeanne will be in our hearts forever... missed but never forgotten.
A celebration of Jeanne's life will be held at a later date.
