MUSCATINE, Iowa - Wesley Howard McKillip, 64, of Muscatine, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at Pearl Valley Care Center.
Service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 13, 2017, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Island Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 until 11 a.m. on Friday, October 13, 2017, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Stacie Walker. Wesley was born on November 3, 1952, in Muscatine, the son of Robert John and Violet Tisor McKillip. He married Sandy Monk in 1974, and they later divorced.
He worked at Linwood and later drove truck. He loved to fish and was an avid Miami Dolphins fan.
Those left to honor his memory include one son, Bryan McKillip of Davenport; two daughters, Stacie Walker and husband, Bret Sulzberger, and Mindi McKillip and husband, Brad Brown, all of Muscatine; his mother, Violet McKillip of Muscatine; one grandson, Joseph Brown; two brothers, James McKillip and wife, Donna, and Rick McKillip, all of Muscatine; and five sisters, Jeanie Brown and husband, Larry, of Illinois City, Illinois, Sandi Banks and husband, Raymond, of Muscatine, Karen Staats of Iowa City, Vicki Coulter and husband, John, of Muscatine, and Gail McKillip of Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his father; one brother, Mitchell McKillip; and three sisters, Madonna Kircher, Ruth Ann Beaham, and Carolyn S. Beik.
