Claude L. Jayne, of Exira, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at the Exira Care Center in Exira, Iowa.
Claude Leroy Jayne was born October 9, 1934, the son of Fred Jayne and Nola Jayne. In 1954, Claude enlisted with the United States Marine Corp. When he returned from the Marine Corp, he made his home in the Exira area. Claude worked various jobs in the area, most notably he worked for Henningsen Construction.
He and his wife, Carol, made their home in Exira. Claude enjoyed working with his hands and did a very extensive remodel of the home. He also liked to work with wood and created many things from wood in his workshop.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Carol; brother, Norm; two sisters, Ann and Rila; son, David and many others.
Survivors include a son, a daughter, step children, grandchildren great-grandchildren, and many, many others who cared about him.
