Wayne Brandon
May 6, 1946 - October 11, 2017

Wayne Brandon, age 71 of Moore County, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at his residence. A native of Moore County, he was born in Lynchburg on May 6, 1946 to the late William "Shorty" Marion and Bessie Ladd Brandon. A proud American, Wayne was retired from the United States Army and was a decorated Veteran of the Vietnam War. He served for twenty years on the Moore County Council and enjoyed gardening and bird watching in his spare time. Wayne is survived by his wife Cornelia Lee Brandon of Moore County; children, Angela (John) Neal of Belvidere, Billy Brandon of Tullahoma, and Mary (James) Bryant of Moore County; sister, Geraldine Cashion of Moore County; grandchildren, Derrick Wayne Neal, Victoria Priscilla Neal, Kathleen Bryant, and Austin Bryant; great-grandson, Stephan Lamar Williams Jr; Godson, Shawn Adams of Lynchburg; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Friday at Jennings-Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 14, 2017 in the Jennings-Moore-Cortner Chapel with Rev.
