Charles George Albrecht was born on January 9, 1942, at Clare, Iowa to Edward and Bernice Alig Albrecht. He graduated from the Clare High School in 1960. After his schooling, Charlie worked for Iowa Beef Processors in Fort Dodge, Iowa for 22 years. Charlie served his country in the National Guard from 1960 until 1964.
Charlie was married to Lorine Berte on April 24, 1965, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Joseph, Iowa. The couple lived in Fort Dodge, Iowa until 1972, when they moved to the farm near Renwick and started farming. In 1985, Charlie opened Charlie's in Renwick, Iowa. He and Lorine operated it until 2005. After Charlie's was sold, Charlie continued to farm.
Charlie was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Livermore, Iowa. He enjoyed farming, not only as an occupation, but as a hobby. He also loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Charlie died suddenly on Thursday, May 6, 2010, at the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital in Humboldt, Iowa. He was 68.
Surviving are his wife, Lorine, Renwick, Iowa and his children, Jeff Albrecht and special friend, Lari Jo Hansen, Renwick, Iowa, Jacinda Goedken and husband, Patrick, Fort Dodge, Iowa and Christy Harris, Algona, Iowa. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Marco and Isabelle Goedken, his pet dog, Bandit and his grandpets, Demon, Ginger, Macy and Angel. Charlie is also survived by 5 brothers, Thomas Albrecht and wife, Pat, Badger, Iowa, Dale Albrecht and wife, Jeanine, Garner, Iowa, Darrel Albrecht, Clare, Iowa, Jim Albrecht, Fort Dodge, Iowa, John Albrecht Fort Dodge, Iowa and his sister, Anna Frohling and husband, Steve, St. Charles, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Joseph Charles Goedken.
