FORT WORTH - James O. Fritz, 91, transitioned peacefully to his heavenly home on Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017.
J.O. "Paw Paw" was born Nov. 3, 1925, in Milam County and moved to Fort Worth in 1951. He was an U.S. Army veteran. J.O. was a master machinist by trade and retired from Bell/Textron at the young age of 76. His loves included Jesus, Jean, his wife of 70 years and his entire extended family.
J.O. thought meat should be fried, tobacco should be chewed, domino game night should occur at least once a week and, during baseball season, the television should be tuned to the Texas Rangers. He was preceded in death by his parents, O.A. and Ila Mae Fritz.
Survivors: Wife, Jean Fritz; sons, Mike and Pat; daughter, Joni, and their spouses; six grandchildren and their spouses; 10 great-grandchildren; his sister, Mary McClain; brothers, Nathan, Emanuel and Lenard Fritz; and many extended family members.
