Eric A. Berding, 39, of Houston, Texas, formerly Charles City, Iowa, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017 in Texas while returning home to his family.
Visitation with Eric and his family will be held at Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City, Iowa from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 27, 2017. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the Berding Family Farm located at 3265 155th Street, Charles City, Iowa 50616.
Eric A. Berding of Charles City, Iowa died at the age of 39 on October 17th, 2017 while returning home to his family. A student of film and literature, Eric held a great respect for a good story. We are all the richer for having been part of his story in particular. His compassion and love for all around him gave him a larger than life presence. His laughter is the best song and his good nature puts everyone at ease. His strength allows one to walk taller and to be a more confident person. This beautiful soul is the absolute love of my life, my best friend, my Superman. "What do you say, wanna go around again? I do."-Fry and Leela.
Eric is survived by his wife, Kenya Berding, his daughter Ivy Crowell, his brother Ryan Berding, his mother, Sabrina Gorman, his step-father, Ron Gorman, and his father, Lynn Berding as well as extended family across the South and Midwest.
