William A. Wieskus, age 80, of Berkeley Township passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Bronx, NY, he lived in Englewood and Bergenfield before settling in Toms River in 2004.
Prior to retiring in 1999, Mr. Wieskus was a Chief Lineman for Con-Ed for forty years. He was a member and Past Exalted Ruler of the Dumont Elks Lodge #2593. He enjoyed fishing, and spending time with family.
He was predeceased by his parents, William and Wilhelmina (Halblau) Wieskus, and by his brother, Ralph Wieskus. He is survived by his wife, Virginia; his daughter, Kimberly Kassel and her husband Patrick of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA; a sister, Annett Paris and her husband Pat of El Cajon, CA; a sister-in-law, Sandra Wieskus of Bogota, NJ; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 W, Toms River, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 9:30 am at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, Toms River, followed by an interment 11:30 AM at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Road, Wrightstown, NJ.
