Graveside services for Betty Jean Allen will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2017, at the East Lawn Cemetery in Algona, Iowa.
Betty Jean Allen was born October 31, 1932 in Algona, Iowa to parents Friedrich Wilhelm Gebken and Mary Ann Leininger Gebken. She married Richard James Allen, September 17, 1952 in Algona, Iowa.
Betty loved to volunteer at Kennedale Senior Center and enjoyed entering her arts and crafts at the Texas State Fair. In Iowa, she loved fishing year round and volunteered many years at the Kossuth County Fair.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard son, S. Richard; parents, Friedrich and Mary; brother, Paul; sister, Ann.
Survived by her siblings, Marie and spouse, Randy, DuWayne and spouse, Janet, and Richard; daughters, Sandra, Deborah, Mary Lou and spouse, Harvey; son, Steven and spouse, Trini; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many more nieces and nephews, all whom she loved very much.
