Eva Gonda, 66, of Iowa Falls, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017 at the Heritage Care Center. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Woodley Funeral Home, LLC of Iowa Falls is caring for the family.
Eva Diane (Schumacher) Gonda was born on February 12, 1951 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Arthur and Midge Schumacher. She graduated from East Detroit High School with the class of 1968. On June 4, 1971 Eva was united in marriage to David Gonda at the St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Rochester, Michigan.
Eva was a homemaker for her entire life. In her free time, she enjoyed going antiquing and working on furniture restoration. She loved music and had been blessed with a beautiful singing voice. Eva also liked to work on sewing projects and doing embroidery.
Eva Gonda is survived by her son, Matthew (Krysten) Gonda of Indio, California; a sister, Marie Schumacher of Clinton Township, Michigan; brother, Arthur (Debbie) Schumacher of Almont, Michigan; grandchildren: Eoghan, Felicity and Ezra Gonda; nieces, Brittany Schumacher of Iowa Falls, Iowa, Eva Schumacher of Clinton Township, Michigan, Jennifer (Dan) Grant of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and Emily Schumacher of Almont, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
