Trudi Louise Boyd, 65, Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2017 after a brave battle with cancer. She was born in Indianapolis on January 17, 1952 to Raymond E. Boyd and Eleanor J. (Kivett) Boyd.
Trudi earned her BA degree from DePauw University and her master's from University of Cincinnati in mathematics. She was employed as a mathematics teacher at Anderson High School and Turpin High School in Cinicinnati, starting her career in 1973 and retiring in 2008. Trudi received the honor of Forest Hills School District Educator of the Year in 2006.
Trudi will be dearly missed by her mother, Eleanor Jean Boyd; sister, Cynthia Steffens; nephews, Christopher (Elizabeth) Steffens and David Steffens; great nephews, Elijah Thomas Steffens and Ethan Robert Steffens, and Connor Menzel; great niece, Eleanor Annette Steffens; and many loving friends, family, and former students.
Trudi is preceded in death by her father, Raymond Boyd.
Friends and family are welcome to visit on Saturday, November 4th, 2017 at First Baptist Church, 8600 N College, Indianapolis, IN from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. with funeral services at 2:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Hall, Indiana.
